Rogue warrior how many levels

Based on the leaderboards, only 2 of my friends have played this, and I wouldn't want to subject anyone else to it. Much like other bad games, Rogue Warrior is one you should pick up if only for a laugh. Is it the worst game I've ever played? No, Hour of Victory still holds that "honor.

Off the top of my head, yes. Showing most recent comments. View all comments. Couldn't even bring myself to complete it. Wildboy Wiley , 04 Dec Join me as I assess the many problems with the game.

Storyline: The story is like this. Intel is bad, and it winds up getting Marcinko's men killed, so he finds himself alone to face the mission, despite his commanding officer telling him to abort. Graphics: The graphics in Rogue Warrior are terrible. Some levels look bland and uncreative like RF2's, while others look like Half-Life's in the way that, things are supposed to look like other things, but just don't.

Not only that, the game has a very unsteady frame rate. You would think with last-gen graphics, the game would at least be able to keep a steady frame rate Sound : I was going to save this category for last, but I might as well get it out now.

I say this, because not only is the main character voiced by Mickey Rourke, but every other word in a sentence is a cuss word. I counted how many vulgar things were said in one mission, and came up with almost 40 different phrases It's funny every once in a while to hear a guy talking about a polar bears nuts freezing, but when you hear the F word consistently, and other vulgarities within a 5 minute time frame, it gets annoying. Not only that, the Guns all sound pretty much alike. Gameplay: Another broken mechanic of the game, is the gameplay itself.

Rogue Warrior consists of 8 very short missions, spanning over 3 difficulty levels. All three difficulties seem pretty much the same. I started on the hardest difficulty, and I beat the game without even trying, and the easy difficulty seems exactly the same as the hardest difficulty. Most the missions consist of you running through a very linear level, planting bombs on stuff, and leaving the area.

You think when you're in a Russian Missile silo, the place would be heavily guarded You can expect to meet a total of about 20 - 25 enemies per mission, and even that is terrible, as the A. Don't believe me? Multiplayer: The multiplayer is boring.

The biggest problem, is the gigantic maps for only about players. I played a map on a dock, and throughout a 10 minute time, I killed 2 people, and I was running around like my pants were on fire. The multiplayer works like this, you have Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, and some other mode. In order to get weapons, you have to pick them up off the ground, then go kill enemies. Sadly though, the multiplayer is almost impossible to play, due to the frame rate being terrible. Achievements: The achievements can be easy and hard.

The easy part of the achievements is the singleplayer achievements, they are simple, except that the difficulty achievements are NOT stackable, so you MUST play through the game 3 times. That can be punishing, since the story is terrible. The multiplayer achievements are the hard part.

Not only is trying to find people to kill hard, but practically nobody plays the multiplayer, probably due to the poor frame rate and gigantic maps. If you are going for the MP achievements, you better have a boosting buddy handy, especially since a lot of the achievements require you to do something with someone on your friends list.

FInal Thought: Rogue Warrior is only good for a rent You can even throw grenades or detonate explosive barrels and enemies will shrug off damage as if nothing happened. This is coupled with the fact that the accuracy of your weapons is pretty horrible. Even looking down the sights of your gun doesn't help, and forget trying to fire from cover; your reticule immediately turns to a tiny dot that isn't accurate with your shot placement at all. You'll quickly choose to skip this in favor of melee kills.

Speaking of, any instant kill move that you trigger renders you impervious to bullets or explosions, so you can completely charge into the middle of a gunfight, stab your way through soldiers and walk away safely.

That's if you can manage to get the game to recognize that you've hit the button prompting you to perform the kill. For some reason, there can be lengthy delays, and I've hit the kill button five or six times to kill one man during a mission. That's fine, however, as the enemy AI will frequently stand perfectly still without firing a shot even if they see you charging at them. That's if they don't wind up throwing a grenade at their own forces or shooting at an explosive barrel to blow themselves up.

Fortunately, you don't have to deal with the stupidity of these enemies for long; it's possible to beat Rogue Warrior in two hours or less. I managed to beat it in an hour and a half, and that included a few times when the game froze on me. However, that raises another significant issue, which is that you're paying full price for this horrible experience. The console versions of the game are sixty bucks, and the PC version is only slightly cheaper at fifty, but these prices are way too exorbitant for the poorly constructed single player game.

If you were wondering about multiplayer as well, don't bother; there's only deathmatch and team deathmatch options, but no one is playing this game online, probably because the few people that were suckered into this purchase are regretting the fact that their wallet is lighter.

If you were hoping that the visuals could be a possible saving grace for Rogue Warrior, you're definitely out of luck. Whether it's the bland environments, slowdown, screen and texture tearing, stiff character model movement or death animations that look blatantly unrealistic, Rogue Warrior is poor game all around.

As far as sound goes, overwhelming attention was paid to Mickey Rourke's profanity laced commentary, which makes Marcinko seem like a Tourette's afflicted soldier hopped up on adrenaline. At the end two trucks full of guys will pop in as well so use grenades for them. Go to the stairs to finish the mission. When you're through, don't go down the stairs.

Instead, kill the guard on the left and use the fast rope at the end of this walk, by the tracks. Kill the two guards down here and the other two or three who come from the doors. Go through this area into the second walkway area.

Take out these guards silently, it's not too hard and keep moving forwards and plant the explosives on the beam of the bridge. When you do, a guard will come through the doors. Kill him and move on. Kill the two guards up here and the third just after the bomb location, then plant the bomb and run to the far end of the bridge for a scene.

Go through the door on the right and fight your way through these hallways. Every wall is coated with explosions but they won't affect you. Fight to the elevator at the end. Up top here, you can see a bunch of guards through the windows but you can't fire through this glass. Open the doors and blast them all, then go through this path made by all the crap lying around and kill the three machine gunners who come for you.

Then go up the stairs on the other side of the room and into the room at the top to get a scene. After it, kill the guards on the catwalks and the ones that drop down. Run through the doors on the other side and kill all the guards in the courtyard to your right.

Then run to the tunnel to finish the level. There's no maze. Save yourself the trouble and don't bother going in quietly unless you really like dealing with finicky AI.

Run through the linear path into the building to find a weapons cache. Stock up and then blast your way through the second part of this hedge place. When you get to the very front of the mansion, guards will pour out of the main doors. Take them out and enter in. Check out the cache and then go down the path on the right, blasting any guards you see.

Be careful when going up the main stairs. First they close the doors on you and toss out a grenade, then they drop in from the ceiling. Go through the top floor until you get to the bedroom. A grenade will pop in front of you, so be careful. Then go up and kill the guys who tossed it at you.

Take the sniper by them if you're in the mood. Open the door behind them and kill the three guys in this hallway, then the two who pop out behind them. Then go through the next door into the library. Take out the two guys up here, and the two who try to come up the stairs. Kill the last two up here and then go down the stairs where three guys will rope in. Kill them and then go through the vault door on the right.

Shoot the fusebox directly in front of you to take out the lights, then the three guys to your right. Go down here, taking out everyone else in the way. Go through the door on the far end and kill the three or four guards in this hallway. Keep moving on. In the Command Centre, kill the four guards then approach the controls for a scene.

Kill the three guards who come in from the elevator and enter it to beat the mission. Open the door on the right and go loud. Kill the two guards in this hallway and open the next door.

In this control room, use the panel on the left, then go through the door at the far end. You can silently take out the two guards in this hallway if you like but meh. Then go through the next door and repeat. Then, go into the next area and kill the two guards on separate floors. Then go through the next set of doors and kill more guards. Are you starting to notice a pattern here? In the next room, kill the four guards, go downstairs and approach your objective.

Three more guards will pop out on the way. Use the terminal and three guards will immediately pop out to your right. Kill them and go through the doors. This next area is one big, long path with guards up and down some stairs. Fight through until you get to some doors. Go through them and plant the exploves on the missile. Go through the doors behind it, kill the guards, and plant more on the second missile. Then go through the doors behind this new missile and kill the guards while going down the path.

There are a LOT of guards in this part of the level but there's nothing tricky. The fire will make you take a small detour on some levels to the right of the path but it's nothing hard at all.

Kill all the guards in the parking garage, including the four that come from the truck.
